Conflict, when approached positively will improve the decision making process, allow employees to be involved in the discussions, arouse creativity or imagination, facilitate employee growth, build cohesion which are all beneficial for the company (Jehn, 1999) . I was a part of a group working on a marketing idea to introduce a new product in the market and there were different individuals with different ideas which not everyone agreed on. At the end of the project, we realized that our differences created a strong marketing ploy for the company.Conflict leads to commitment to organizational goals as the employees work towards achieving the best solutions. In the above case scenario, e mployees were able to increase their effort and commitment towards the project we were working on and this saw the growth of the organization. The person in charge of the project also came up with team building activities to counteract the conflict that was between the group members which worked out very well.Knowing that conflict is inevitable even for the most functional teams will enable me deal with people especially in the human resource department.
